Had a lovely lunch at The Lion Inn this afternoon. We were debating on what to choose when the chef came out to see us. He recommended an open tomato, mozzarella and pesto sandwich with homemade crisps and salad which was perfect as I’m vegetarian. My friend chose the cheese and bacon toastie. I’ve got to say, it was amazing, we both thoroughly enjoyed it and the homemade crisps were super and a nice touch. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We will definitely be visiting again soon

The chicken burger was the nicest one I have had in a long time. We went on a recommendation by friends. It was our first 'date night' since having our son. So we wanted to be close by should we be needed. It wasn't busy but was a nice atmosphere with the regulars in after finishing work or down for their usual catch up on a Friday night. We sat at a table in the more secluded area and we order some drinks and was given a menu. Not a big amount to choose from but I don't feel it was needed as a nice selection for all. The food was excellent and you could tell it was prepared fresh. Good value for money in my opinion. Was very happy with the whole experience.

Went for lunch as recommended by my walkers group. Had a sausage, red onion and mozzarella panini which came with lovely big crunchy chips which was a good portion. Friendly atmosphere, and they had good selection of second hand books. Would recommend, has parking and out side area.
